Course Objectives :
To provide training and advice on effective methods of recruitment, selection and labour law updates to the benefit of the organisation and our customers.
During the course, the following issues will be addressed:
a. An update on employment legislation affecting recruitment and selection issues.
b. Discrimination (update).
c. Security vetting procedures (update).
d. Data protection (update).
e. The BF(G) recruitment process, to include:
(1) Short listing of candidates.
(2) Structure of the interview.
(3) Interview techniques.
(4) Methods of assessment.
(5) The selection process.
(6) Rejecting candidates.
f. Practical exercises.
g. Open forum.

Who should attend?
1. This workshop is compulsory for all GLSU staff involved in employment interviewing, GLSU Recruitment Clerks or other GLSU staff (who must have previously participated in the 3 day recruiters course).
2. Civil Labour clerks in Cat “B” units (who must have previously participated in the 3 day recruiters course).
